Are we in the same room the whole time?

Yes. Two tables sit side by side in one suite, each with its own therapist, and neither of you gets moved. You can talk quietly or say nothing at all. The room is yours until the session ends.

Do we have to be a romantic couple?

No. Friends book the suite. So do a parent and a grown child, siblings, and two coworkers marking something. The booking is for two people who want to be in the same room, and it does not ask for a relationship status.

Can one of us get firm pressure while the other gets something gentle?

Yes, and it is common. You each speak with your own therapist beforehand and each session gets set up independently.

How does draping work with two of us in there?

The same way it works alone. You each undress to your own comfort level in private, stay covered by a sheet throughout, and only the area being worked on is uncovered at any moment.

Is the price per person or for both of us?

For both of you. Couples pricing is per couple, so $165, $245 and $325 each cover two people and two therapists. Nothing doubles at the counter.

How far ahead should we book?

A few days for a weekday, longer for a Friday or Saturday, and further still for a holiday weekend. A couples session needs two therapists open at the same hour, so the pool of workable slots is smaller than it is for one person.

Can we add the sauna for only one of us?

Add-ons are priced individually and attached when you book, so ask the desk to put it on one session and not the other. Settle it on the call rather than at the door.

Is a same-day appointment realistic?

Often, though never promised. Weekday afternoons hold the most room. One phone call settles it faster than any other method.

What if one of us has never had a massage before?

That happens constantly and the therapists handle it every week. Say so when you book and again in the room. Nothing about the session assumes experience.

Can we buy this as a gift without picking a date?

Yes. A gift card in any amount from $25 to $500 arrives instantly and does not expire, so the date stays with the person receiving it.

What time do you close?

Ten at night, every day of the week, opening at ten in the morning. If you want a two hour session late in the evening, ask on the phone how late that particular booking can start.

Can we do a head spa together instead?

Yes. The Japanese head spa can be taken side by side for two people in this same suite, one therapist each. Name it on the call, because it holds the room the way a couples massage does.

Where do we park?

On site. Elite has its own parking at the State Street building, which is one less thing to solve on a night out.

Can we just turn up?

Walk-ins are welcome, and for this room we would lean harder than usual on booking ahead. Two therapists and one suite all have to be open at the same hour.

How much do we tip?

Whatever you decide. A gratuity is recommended and never required, and twenty percent is the figure customary at service businesses. Nobody will raise it with you.

What if we have to cancel?

Cancel within twenty-four hours of the start time and the money is not refunded. The window is tight because the suite and two therapists were held out of the schedule for you.

Is there anything you cannot answer here?

Medical questions. No contraindication list is published, so if you are pregnant, recovering from an injury or being treated for something, raise it with your doctor and then tell your therapist before the session begins.
